Rules & regulations

Repeating a year

A student may repeat a year once during the period of study. The last year of study may not be repeated.

In order to repeat the first year of doctoral study of Biosciences, a student must have collected at least 10 credit points by the time of enrolment. Points obtained for individual research work and/or presentation of the theme of the doctoral dissertation are not counted in this quota. 

In order to repeat the second year, a student must have collected at least 25 credit points by the time of enrolment. Points obtained for individual research work and/or presentation of the theme of the doctoral dissertation are not counted in this quota. 

In order to repeat the third year on 4-year study programe, a student must complete all study obligations of the first and second year of study. Repeating the third year on 3-year study programe is not allowed.
